Anthony Atala

Anthony Atala is a highly skilled attorney with extensive experience handling a broad range of insurance claims. After spending more than a decade defending insurance companies and their policyholders, he joined Amanda Demanda Injury Lawyers to advocate for individuals who have suffered injuries.

A Miami native and first-generation Cuban American, Anthony attended the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During his time at UF, he was actively involved in Student Government, the Hispanic Student Association, and Hispanic Heritage Month. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law in Orlando, where he served as a teaching assistant in Contracts and was a member of the Student Bar Association and the Hispanic Law Student Association. During law school, he also worked as a real estate law paralegal, gaining valuable legal experience.

Upon graduating, Anthony founded his own law firm in Central Florida, where he specialized in personal injury and family law. In 2011, he returned to South Florida and joined a small law firm, focusing on personal injury cases. The following year, he transitioned to insurance defense, representing insurance companies and their policyholders. He began his career in insurance law at a regional firm before moving on to two of the largest insurance defense firms in the state. Over the next decade, he handled complex personal injury cases and first-party insurance claims, ultimately overseeing numerous high-stakes cases for major insurance providers.

In 2024, drawing on his extensive knowledge of insurance law, Anthony shifted his focus to representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others. He now handles cases involving car accidents, premises liability, and slip and fall injuries. His deep understanding of the insurance industry allows him to strategically navigate claims and achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.

Beyond his legal practice, Anthony is deeply committed to serving his community. He is a member of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Audit and Budget Committee and previously served on the Miami-Dade County Community Council. Additionally, he is an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association, where he was recognized as a LEADS Class 2 Fellow and named New Member of the Year in 2024. He is also a member of the Miami Lakes Bar Association and the Hispanic American League Against Discrimination (SALAD). Anthony is a licensed real estate broker and has served as a continuing education instructor for insurance adjusters. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
